Bred by Dee Schauer in Boyd Texas Emily started out life as Hi Octane Avgas with a barn name of Lisa. She came to Winsdown in the fall of her weanling year and was sold as a yearling to Terry Meade in Glendale, KY. Terry developed her into a wonderful Western mare and with a few shows under her belt sold her to Joan Todd. The rest is history. Joan and Emily have become a fixture as picture perfect Western pleasure and now the Hunter combination to beat. 2004 Year End awards included USEF Region 8 Horse Of The Year, Western Country Pleasure, ASHA State Pleasure Horse Award Champion, Western Country Pleasure (IN), IASHA Grand Champion, Western Country Pleasure and IASHA Reserve Grand Champion, Hunter Country Pleasure. 2005 brought even greater year end awards, which include Saddle & Bridle Best Of Breed Reserve Overall Country Pleasure, Saddle & Bridle Best Of Breed Champion Country Hunter Pleasure, USEF National Horse Of The Year Saddle Hunter Country Pleasure, USEF Region 8 Horse Of The Year Saddle Hunter Country Pleasure, USEF Region 8 Horse Of The Year, Saddlebred Western Country Pleasure, ASHA State Pleasure Horse Award Champion, Western Country Pleasure (IN), ASHA State Pleasure Horse Award Champion, Hunter Country Pleasure (IN), IASHA Champion Western Country Pleasure and IASHA Champion Hunter Country Pleasure. We are so very proud of Emily and Joan. We hope to see even greater honors next year. In 2006 Emily and Joan again struck gold with Horse Worlds People's Choice Hunter, SHR Country Hunter High Points Reserve Champion, Saddle & Bridle's # 1 Country Hunt Horse. In 2006 they won 9 classes including 3 Hunt Championships and a Western Championship! 2007 saw Emily and Joan once again stars in the Hunt Division with wins at Kentucky Fall Classic, IASHA Spring Warm Up and Heartland Classic.
